How to Wear a Top Under a Dress

There is a fall trend  that if done right can be the answer for women who do not want to be in a dress and have bare arms.

Dresses tend to be sleeves, no matter what time of year it is, but this trick to have options and  workarounds so you can add warmth and keep your arms covered.

As I have shown you often on my webinars how much I love shrugs and cardigans over dresses. Not always an easy find, getting  just the right color and shape to make all work together.

Why not try adding a thin long sleeve top/bodysuit or blouse under your dress?

I have seen everything from sheer lace to a more opaque fabric. Think close fitting t-neck!

It certainly changes the dress and gives it a very modern  look.

Be careful it does not look too schoolgirl with something too frilly.

The fabric of the dress should not be too flimsy to make this look work. You also need to have enough room to accommodate a top underneath so the dress does not get too tight and uncomfortable.

Give it a try and let me know how it goes for you!
